Effective, instant communication is critical for community engagement. Bonview Church required a reliable, high-throughput messaging system to broadcast urgent announcements, daily devotionals, and targeted departmental updates without the exorbitant costs of commercial SaaS platforms.
We engineered a bespoke Bulk SMS System utilizing a microservices architecture. The backend employs a robust message queuing system (Redis) to handle massive broadcast lists, ensuring that thousands of messages are dispatched synchronously without overwhelming the external SMS gateway APIs.
The administrative dashboard provides granular control. Leaders can segment the congregation into specific groups (e.g., Youth, Choir, Leadership), schedule broadcasts in advance, and monitor real-time delivery statuses, bounce rates, and engagement metrics.
